BSP helps leading and early-stage cleantech companies navigate federal financing and funding opportunities, including the Department of Energy’s Loan Program Office (LPO). We provide strategic guidance on LPO financial structures, eligibility requirements, and process and timing. We then assist clients to develop compelling LPO applications, evaluate how LPO can help companies, and ultimately submit and negotiate contracts with DOE’s LPO Office.
In addition to federal financing opportunities, BSP invests in early-stage climate technologies through Overture VC, the only venture fund at the intersection of climate and government. -

BSP works with several clean technology manufacturing companies within the solar and energy storage sectors, including producers of polysilicon, solar modules, and long duration batteries, to develop policy, design strategic communications, and manage coalitions to ensure the development of domestic supply chains and the expansion of domestic markets. Our efforts have led both to programs created within the Administration and legislation in Congress to provide key incentives to allow re-shoring and expansion of clean energy manufacturing in the US. All of the manufacturing work we conduct with our clients is centered around building future industries that will allow us to successfully combat climate change.

BSP works with clients to design tax provisions that will materially impact markets in furtherance of their policy objectives. We advocate for modifications of existing tax provisions to make them more market friendly, consumer friendly, and equitable. Though our extensive network, we engage directly with Congressional staff, Treasury, and the IRS to ensure tax provisions are interpreted and implemented to achieve client objectives.
