Kennedy Nickerson is a Director in Boundary Stone's Washington, D.C. office. Kennedy draws on her experience in both federal and state level government to help private companies navigate the public policy landscape in an effort to bring innovative and climate-friendly technologies to scale.

Most recently, Kennedy served as a Policy Advisor in the U.S. Department of Energy's Loan Programs Office, where she worked on appropriations policy, external and legislative affairs, and commercialization strategies. Kennedy also worked to implement the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act of 2021 by helping to stand up the Office of Clean Energy Demonstrations and designing the implementation strategy for the new Carbon Dioxide Transportation Infrastructure Finance and Innovation program.

Before her time at DOE, Kennedy served as a Senior Fiscal Policy Analyst for the Massachusetts State Senate Committee on Ways and Means, where she analyzed and proposed appropriations policies for state programs related to transportation, criminal justice, and economic development.

Kennedy holds a Master's in Public Policy from the University of New Hampshire's Carsey School of Public Policy and in her free time enjoys running with friends and hanging out with her rescue dog, Meatball.
